Passing the Flame.

"A dancing flame once lit the night,
until death's coil brought it low.
Once strong fire winked out of life,
not but a memory to show.
Then in the shadow out from dusk,
seen in the deepest of the fog.
Illuminate, winged souls aglow,
bright burning embers light the bog.
The torch of life has now been passed,
a new fire dances through the skies.
A life from death at source again,
the endless cycle when one dies."
